This API is free. In exchange, all requests including prompts and completions are logged and may be sold as training data. Don't send sensitive information.

1. Acceptance

By using the Lyumen API, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Service Description

Lyumen provides free LLM inference through an OpenAI-compatible API. The service is provided "as is" with no guarantees of:

  • Uptime or availability
  • Response quality or accuracy
  • Data retention or persistence
  • Support or maintenance

3. Data Logging

All requests sent through the Lyumen API are logged, including:

  • Prompts and message content
  • Model completions and responses
  • Timestamps and metadata
  • User agent and approximate location (country-level)

Logged data may be used for training, research, or sold to third parties. This is the trade-off for free inference.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Send requests containing sensitive personal data (SSNs, passwords, API keys, etc.)
  • Attempt to overwhelm or abuse the service
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Misrepresent the origin of the responses

5. No Warranty

Lyumen is a free, indie project. There is no warranty of any kind. The service may be modified, degraded, or discontinued at any time without notice.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Lyumen shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service.
